[SOLVED Launching BUG] Game doesnt start

Im launching the game through Steam and a black window opens and then it closes and the game never starts.
SOLVED: In my case, to be able to run the game, you need the LATEST Windows 7 SP1 update (My case). It is necesary because the lastest update has the C++ Libraries which the game needs and if you download it separately it won't work.
If this problems happen to you; Desinstall the game and its two vrcredist c++ suplements. Update your Operative Sistem (with the latest C++ Libraries). Reinstall the game.
I repeat that in my case this steps worked. I'm using Windows 7 SP1 x64 Bits.

go in the local files, open the folder named vcredist, and install that microsoft package :3

Yes, i reinstalled it once and the problem still persist

The window which appears is of Miscrosoft Visual Script

did you have a recent windows 10 update?
or using win 10?
sometimes when you update, you lose some of those visual c++ redist files.
that might be what you are missing ( its a steam issue with them not installing, thats what that black box is, iirc. checking for the files )
it happens in pther games, too.

I will reinstall it again. If it doesnt work i will need a support case because i really want to play this game

Hey, make sure that ALL of your updates are installed for Win 7. If you try running the deadcells.exe as ADMIN it might give you a missing dll error. That dll should be in the redist but the redist is actually failing to install because you don't have the most up to date version of Win 7. I'd give that a shot first. You can confirm by opening the redist then uninstalling instead of repairing and then trying to install it from that file. If it fails it means you're not up to date

Me too with win8.1
While i tried to lunch it not through steam but folder,it shows api-ms-win-crt-stdio-l1-1-0.dll missing.And when i download it into the folder,it shows another api-ms-win-crt-blablabla.dll missing,and this repeat again and again

Also unable to launch. Program generated errors but after restart all I see is the game launch, then close, then launch, and close, infinitely until I close the steam dialog stating "Dead Cells is Launching.."
