will the game have support for Ps4 controller at the launch of EA? even just a option to change the button prompts to the ps4 buttons would be awesome

Steam supports ps3 & ps4 controllers since a few month so it will works in Dead Cells.

im well aware of that but that dosn't make button prompts ingame change :P its way better if games themself support the controller also since you need to be in big picture mode for the controller support to be active

changing the button prompts would definitely be a nice addition as more people (me included) use DS4 controllers.

Bump, hello and thanks for the answer!
Howeverm i have connected the PS4 to the comp, checked that it regeisteres input in settings. But it don't work in game. So does anyone have any idea how to set it up for the game? :) (in big picture mode)

Have you enabled DS4 support on steam? If not, go to big picture mode and controller settings. Check the PS4 controller option and apply. After that unplug and replug gamepad and you should have steam support at that point.

Heads up, if a game supported DS4 natively before, enabling this may change some buttons around, so keep it in mind when switching games.

I am using a ps4 controller but it won't work.

i am using PS4 controller and it is working,just button mapping are from xbox :D i hope that we will see PS button mapping at launch.

I guess you use DS4Windows. Don't run it while playing Dead Cells and the correct button mapping will be shown. And surprisingly the buttons are working correctly unlike some other games which are unplayable without additonal software to simlate an xbox controller

i did not used DS4Windows.anyways,tried many combination,not possible to play with Playstation mapping :/
