try renaming the save file from your torrent version to whatever your steam version is called and replace it.
2) start the legit version and play a bit then save and exit. (use the same save slot as the isodemo version)
2) find user_X.dat file in your isodemo game's folder
3)go to :\Steam\userdata\xxx\588650\remote
rename your isodemo save file so that it is exactly the same as the legit save u got. Copy-paste your isodemo save file, replacing the old one.
4) play the game a bit. Make a backup jsut in case and enable steam cloud.
He tried the "demo" version and it made him buy the game.
If he didn't try it he wouldn't buy the game at all.
Contrary to corporations propaganda good games actually benefit from "piracy". It's bad and mediocre games that suffer.
.
CD Projekt knows this.
There is no economic basis to this claim whatsoever.
And it makes perfect sense.
I imagine this comes from some sort of "guy pirates game and makes a YT video that millions see and buy the game" mindset. Causation vs correlation. In cases like this, or similar, or even remotely related...him pirating didn't help the game, making a video did. The fact that the piracy led to that doesn't validate piracy. Don't be dumb.
This topic should not be flagged as it serves to prove a point that MOST people nowadays use pirated software to demo a product they are interested in. I for one don't have tons of money to throw around so I still to this day have used copies of games just to see how it will run (because specs mean nothing if the game is optimized poorly) and to see if the game even is enjoyable. Gameplay videos don't let you actually FEEL what playing the game is like. I bought Lords of the fallen based off videos/reviews and returned it almost immediatley, so I know a thing or two about playing vs watching/hearing.
Congrats on picking up the game though moetmdiihia, It's really fun.
