Any games like this?
As title says, what other games like this are on Steam?

That's a great question.

It's difficult to find something very similar to Fallout Shelter.

If you're looking for something that's the same style across multiple sub-categories, I can't think of anything like it.

The closest thing I can find in some aspects:

-Sheltered (side view/base management/post-apocalyptic)
-This War of Mine (side view/base management/post-apocalyptic)
-Mr Prepper (side view/base management/post-apocalyptic)
-Siege Survival: Gloria Victis (base management/like twom/medieval(x))
-Judgment: Apocalypse Survival Simulation (base management/post-apocalyptic)
-Rebuild 3: Gangs of Deadville (base management/post-apocalyptic/zombies(x))
-Virtual Villagers (casual/base management/happy little game)

Ok...I put on the list Virtual Villagers just for its casual style and base management aspect.
I once went on a crazy search for similar games. I highly recommend 'Underworld' as it closely matches what you're looking for. I played it on an Android device, and you might want to give it a try.

Maybe you could supply a link to which 'underworld' game you are talking about. Doing a search on Steam results into a ton of possible matches... none of which are simply titled 'Underworld' all by itself... they usually have some additional title words. And, none of them seemed like a close match (similar) to this game. So, a link would be super helpful for people to know which game you're referring to.

Maybe you should read his reply better and direct your search accordingly. I found the game in question with all available information in like 2 seconds.

I did in fact read it quite thoroughly. They did NOT mention 'where' this game is and since we're in a steam forum talking about a steam game, I could only assume it might be a steam game they are referring to. Again, my search query in the steam store yielded a bunch of games all with 'Underworld' in the title... but also included more to the titled name so, were most likely NOT the one they are talking about. Since you so 'easily' found it... then why didn't you post a link? Oh, that's right, you just came here to belittle people I'm guessing.

He DID mention he played it on Android so not on Steam...

However, when I did a search for "underworld game on android" I got a ton of results just with "underworld" in their name. The only one I saw with JUST Underworld as it's title looked to be based on the vampire / werewolf movie with Kate Beckinsale I think? so didn't seem at all similar to falllout shelter.. not even similar enough to merit clicking the link to the game.

@Handoiron
I get that they played it on Android. This game 'can' be played on mobile devices also but, it's still a PC game available on Steam. So, I didn't make the assumption that they are talking about a game ONLY available on 'Android' although, that may in fact be true. People seem to think we're just supposed to make an assumption here... which is not what I wanted to do. Hence the reason I asked the op of this subject if they could possibly provide a link. At any rate, your query turned up similar results as mine even though you searched in a different place. So, the question still stands... which 'Underworld' game might they be referring to? I didn't find one similar to FOS but, I also didn't look up every single game that came up in the search query so... a link would still be really helpful here.

This actually seems about as similar to FOS as I've seen... at least for games that have 'somewhat' decent graphics. There's some that just look too rough as for graphics and I just wouldn't enjoy playing so, I don't count those. Having started out playing on a commodore 64 programming my own games to play... just can't go back to the real pixel style graphics anymore. Younger audience probably doesn't mind it so much.

I found one called Underworld: The Shelter which looks like it's probably what he's talking about. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem to be on Steam...

mikeydsc, I tried to hit reply, but for some reason, it doesn't seem to want to let me do so. Anyway, thank you for the links. Dragon Cliff looks suuuuper complex... something I generally find fun. Cultivation Fantasy looks like it will tick my crafting/management/all things wuxia boxes assuming it really does have English subtitles. (My Chinese reading skills are still really rudimentary.)

Mad Prophet, some of your suggestions also look quite interesting as well and have been added to my wishlist. (In the case of those that looked interesting that had free demos, they've been directly added to my library.)

So thank you both for some new fun things to look into. :steamhappy:

@DarkDreamVoyager no problem, glad to help.

I also added a couple games recommended here to my wishlist.
Dragon Cliff looks complex indeed...also fun and interesting.
I found another, maybe similar to Dragon Cliff I think...:
Soda Dungeon (Free to Play). I played a little, I like the style, funny.

On another style, I think of Spellcaster University.

There are the same elements of building and recruitment with outsiders element that can influence your game. It's combined with a card gameplay, but it doesn't seem to be a deck building. I think it's more like random events, kinda rogue-like.

Too bad it's only a 'mobile' game. Wonder if they'll ever port it to PC? Kind of odd how they didn't run much of an advertising campaign for it. Guessing they needed to keep costs down to a minimum for it.
