Fallout Shelter

So this version of Fallout Shelter is never going to be updated?
I like this game a-lot. I wish it was being updated for PC?

It was just forgotten by Bethesda? I don't like that when the same game released for multiple platforms is updated on one and not another?

I really feel that if companies release something for multiple platforms and are planning to update their games they should make those updates for all the platforms they released it for.

They wanted to cut costs and since this pc version doesn't make much for lunch box sales, they decided to abandon it. They also abandoned their game launcher--which used to be required for this game on PC--probably for the same reason(s).

So, the reason they don't make a 'lot' of money on lunch box sales for the PC version is cuz there are game save editors that can cheat you in however many lunch boxes you want. There is a way to do this with the mobile version(s) as well but, it's a bit more 'difficult' or maybe just less known about so, Bethesda still makes 'enough' profit on it that they decided to throw out some updates to it--the mobile version. However, I have my doubts if they'll continue that version any longer either... seems more or less 'end-of-life-cycle' imo. But, that's just speculation on my part.

Don't have dates in mind but I think they abandonned FS before droping their launcher, this was part of Microsoft (they bought Bethesda) puting his games on Steam.

They also made money with ads for 30min forward bood and other stuff that you can get for free on PC by cheating. Also they never fixed the ingame shop on Steam.
As for updates they never changed coe mechanics, they added new outfits, pets, ennemies, dwellers, ... They can keep this going for years.

Actually, I am playing on PC only and just the past couple of days, an update came where I can now recycle guns and outfits. Not sure if they have done more, but that's what I noticed yesterday.

I do not do mods, so this has to be from the developer.

Getting confused... which game are you referring to, FOS or the Castles one? In FOS, recycling wpns and gear has always been a thing for as long as I've played it... several years now.

The update you rec'd was probably steam doing some housekeeping. There is no updates for Fallout Shelter....ever.... PC version.

Housekeeping? Isn't that usually REMOVING a feature, not adding one?
I don't really care. I am simply pointing out that a change HAS been made to the PC version as recently as this week.

Housekeeping refers to direct x updates or the other items steam uses for tracking game stats or drivers for the games. (steamworks common redistributables)

The actual game here on Steam has not been updated in years, since 2017 I believe.

This is not a new feature at all. "Recycling" weapons and outfits by scrapping them to recover some junk has been part of the game forever.

Yes, there's a feature called "View update history". You can check it and see that the last update was 1.12 on 24 May 2017. They released the game in March and stopped updating two months later. Now, after seven years of Fallout Shelter PC being abandoned and forgotten by developer, what are chances for new update, anyone's guess?
