cant access shop

HI

When i try to access the shop in the fallout shelter game a pop up says..

To access the store, please enable the steam overlay in the fallout shelter steam properties folder..


I have done this in both the game and the steam main page settings. Both are enabled but i still receive this message when loading the game back up.
I have opened steam with administrator privileges too.

Am i doing something wrong that is stopping me from accessing the in game store in fallout shelter?

Try resetting your windows firewall back to defaults--while everything else is closed. Now launch steam, minimize it, and choose 'allow' when the firewall notice comes up. You might need to do the same when launching FS but, I can't remember for sure if it also needs to. Also, check to be sure the game's 'properties' are set to enable 'Steam overlay' by right clicking the game in steam library--choosing 'properties.' I know you said you did but, wasn't sure if you were talking Steam--Settings--Steam overlay (which is global) or game's properties--steam overlay.
