Devs, if you see this...
Will the PC port ever get the newest updates? Or is it completely abandoned by Bethesda?

Seems abandoned for sure.
Seeing as it has not had any updates since Oct 2018

Bethesda officially dropped support of the PC version. They will no longer be updating it so, no.... it'll never get those latest updates that the mobile version got. Unless by some fluke miracle, Bethesda decides.... 'what the heck, we'll patch the pc version too!' Which is 99% unlikely. The PC version was dropped in Steams lap basically.

It just works!

Also Bethesda never reads the steam forums

Too bad the devs dropped further development of the PC version. This is a fun relaxing game where someone can just chill

Totally agree. I like it cuz it's decent for those times I'm bored but, don't have enough time to get lost in a RPG with lots of reading involved or a game you need to spend an hour just to memorize controls. It's just quick, simple, and mostly can be quickly saved / exited... except if in middle of an invasion or quest.

Very true my friend. I tried playing this on my phone, but its way too small for it to be playable. I tried playing on my tablet, but its an older tablet and it crashed. My PC is the only machine I have that I can play it on.

Phone version isn't too bad as long as your phone isn't junk.
Tablet probably got too hot or something. But yea the game can be rather demanding on some Mobile devices after your grow your Vault beyond a certain number of rooms and such. If I'm not on-the-go, I play on Phone but use an USB Type-C to HDMI cable to mirror the phone screen on a large TV. It's helpful at times.

I just want an updated pc version, so i can use mods

Well again, from what everyone said already and I think it was obvious, PC version has been abandoned. Not sure why though I mean if people are willing to pay $ to get extras on the Mobile version, why wouldn't they do it on the PC version. Plus if they were smart, they would have kept the PC version not only up to date, but have it able to use Mods through Steam Workshop. Such as Community based created Clothing, Weapons, Pets w/ Perks, Room Themes, etc.

I've had the game installed on PC since release via the Bethesda Launcher. I later dumped all that when they put this game on Steam. So my files have been on the drive ever since this came to Steam, most recent file time-stamp says Oct 15 2018.

So if there hasn't been an update to PC version since 2018, yea I doubt we'll ever see another update for it.

Actually, there are mods for this PC version over on Nexus. You need an account on Nexus but, it's totally free so, why not? It's a HUGE source of game mods for most all the well known games that are moddable. There's a mod package for this game too, which has a lot of 'cheaty' settings but, you can disable all those things in the credits menu--show mod settings. One of my favorites is the custom outfits mod. You just need to be somewhat familiar with manually installing mods though. It's not real difficult. The point is, the game doesn't 'need' an update for mod purposes. Would be cool to get 'Workshop' for installing the mods though.

And, to answer the question 'Why they don't update the PC version?' ....cuz there are 'Save Editor's available for PC version which can be used to cheat in a bunch of stuff. So, no need to make in-app purchases anymore with PC version. I'm betting that's why Bethesda dropped support of the PC version..... or, at least, partly the reason... idk.
Bad 💀 Motha Apr 10, 2023 @ 9:09pm
That isn't exactly a reason. I could technically use a save-editor to edit my stuff on my mobile version save game if I wanted to.

right?
If you have 2 monitors, this is a perfect stress relief activity to meddle while watching some online course, class, youtube video or even netflix.

Yup, I often run this on one Display while doing something on the other. Such as maybe have my PC download movies/shows (or I'm watching something) on the other Display at the same time as playing this game.

I have a couple different Vaults on the Android version as well.

So... how do you like the latest update on the Android version? Just wondering what ppl might think of it's additional content / changes compared to the PC version. From what I heard, we're not really missing anything special here on the PC version but, really haven't seen many ppl's op on that.
