Fallout Shelter
Game crashes
It was crashing pretty often before, but I used to tolerate it somehow. Now it started crashing everytime I load my vault. Can somebody help me, please

Reinstalling, verifying of game files, and simple computer restart doesen't help

Sounds like your vault.sav file maybe corrupted. Search online for Fallout Shelter Save Editor and download / use one of those. When you open your vault.sav in them....there's tools to fix some things....time sync, happiness glitch, etc... use those to try an fix your save. Afterward, be sure to use the 'save' option in the editor or your changes wouldn't be saved to the vault.sav file. Hopefully, it was something simple like that which was causing the issue.

Yes, indeed. Save file turned out to be corrupted, I discovered this when went to offline mode (so steam wouldn't use cloud saves) and removed it from save folder and new vault created succesfully. I tried to edit my savefile with web editor - it didn't help. Tried to edit it with installing software on Windows (FSSEWin) but it simply doesen't open this file propely with error "object reference does not point to an instance of an object" (I am not sure if this is correct translation, because my system language isn't English and I just traslated it through Google) popping up. But anyway I used fix buttons, there's 3 - Fix time glitch, Fix dweller IDs and Fix happiness. They are all working properly except Fix dweller IDs - it's popping up error "value cannot be null, parameter name: value
And what sould I do with this

Perhaps more correctly English version of this first error would be System.NullReferenceException

Wow I found a solution. Just used backup file to replace .sav file in save directory. Thank godness, I was so creeped out about losing my vault with more than hundered houes spent on

Also I want to express gratitude to Mardoin69, without you perhaps I even wouldn't guess that problem is with save. So thank you, wish you all the best

Yvw....and yeah....that cloud save feature messes up saves for quite a few games. I not only disable it for this game but, I go a step further and disable it in the steam settings for ALL games. I'd rather take the time to do a manual backup of my saves as opposed to having them corrupted. Glad you got it sorted.

ok will do. but only I hope problem really was with cloud, not that game itself messed up the file

If you depend on Steam cloud, you end up with big frustrations due to corruption. It will eventually happen to all games that use the cloud.
