Fallout Shelter
Radio Room Over 800 hours to locate dweller???
I used to play this game on my phone for about a year prior to installing it on PC.
I am a few achievements away from being complete, but I know the hardest one will be obtaining the legendary dwellers.

In my Vault I have a maxed-out Radio Room to heighten my chances of receiving dwellers from the wasteland. I have 116 people, all the rooms maxed and do not understand why my Radio Room is taking about 800-900 hours for one transmission.
I recently started to help my daughter with her vault and she has 36 people,a triple wide Radio Room at beginner level and one transmission only takes 2 hours?

Could anyone tell me if they know how to fix this OR do I need to not worry about it because the legendary dwellers come from missions???

Appreciate the feedback!!! :Blessing:

The short of it is that the radio room is a crap shoot for recruitment. Ideally at level 3 with max charisma dwellers and the best relevant armour for them should net you a new dweller every 5-6 hours. Yet if RNGesus is not with you it can take forever.

If you are taking 800-900 hours per new dweller it sound more like your vault is bugged. You may need to start fresh.

Legendary dwellers can be born of parents with high enough stats. At max stats it is something like a 10% chance of a child being of legendary grade. I am not sure if they count towards the achievement as they wont fill in the named legendary's in the stat page.

I have been told but with no confirmation yet that if you manage to recruit Threedog and place him in a radio room it has an added effect on recruitment as well.

Sweaches! Great info and a lot of help too. I read a forum that states to buy a bundle of lunchboxes... I just did and to no surprise, only one legendary person out of the 15 --- don't try to buy yourself out of this ones folks!!!
I think I may be bugged on that vault. I started a new one to see what it did and sure enough with low stat dwellers and beginner radio room was only a couple of hours for one transmission.
(im in too deep -- thanks for the tips on the 3 dog and legendary babies) :Blessing:

No, Legendary Babies don´t count for the achiement. They have to come from quests or lunchboxes (expect 1 in about 20 boxes).

Thats insane!!! Ive put over 100 hours of gameplay in and will have my 34th achievement in just a few days... but with only given 3 legendary dwellers for missions and coming up with the other 17 is nuts!!! im going old school and not purchasing any lunchboxes LOL
thnks for all the input

**update** after the initial 800+ hours for the radio room, it defaulted back to only a few hours per radio transmission!!! if anyone else has this glitch.. it should remedy itself... ...hopefully :steamhappy:

By chance is the radio room set to broadcast or is it internal ? Maybe toggle it a couple times?

It was weird... it was on broadcast and toggling between wasteland and vault did not change anything
