It likely impacts decisions to spend staff time and server resources on supporting things like the 25th anniversary for the PC version versus others which are harder to edit.
So yes there is a difference.
Plus real people do develop and support the games. Real people with real bills. The editor doesn't pay those people.
Getting them for free is also not an accomplishment. If you were in a brain scanner when getting super rare loot via the editor vs a lunch box in the player who has not made what they want a sure thing you see a lot of activity in the reward area. The amount of activation the other way would be hard to see and in a zone less than say passing gas and feeling a bit more comfortable.
Decisions made impact other players despite how often it comes up that how people play or opt out of playing is a personal thing ultimately it isn't. Not when every other version of the game has been having a much better anniversary than PC players .
When using the editor has become so normative that even a super spectacular sale of what would be for nearly any player a still low cost per hour of playing the game is something people make out like it's an odd thing to not use the editor.
The same thing caused the enjoyment of Steam achievements to drop as people created mods for every game that supports them.
Although here it's even more of an issue as that robs them of feeling good about it but the lack of revenue due to people reasoning that getting things for free is the normal approach likely is why this sale is one of the only anniversary type events the PC player has seen given it is much more extreme than anything specifically for Hallowe'en
Where is the joy in editing your way to a low probability item even?
Can you recommend a safe Save editor?
This game are tbh big scam, new ppl need too know there is no point buying anything from this game as you can exploit the bugs in the game but the facts I have open 100s of lunchboxes and never get single legendary dweller as last achievement in the game I need.
If your dweller are under max level, you can farm in wasteland but if they are already level 50 with max stats + max lucky +7 gear. You can be out of ages out there without finding a single encounter, stuff etc
Sincerely

For the PC download...it'll download as 'win.zip' file which you'll then choose 'Extract all' after it's downloaded. The only thing in it is the save editor app--FSSEwin. You can drop it into whatever folder you want and then just make a shortcut to it onto your desktop. It's pretty simple. Some people like the online one where you drag n drop your vault1.sav into the web browser--editor app. It has a couple different features but, otherwise same / similar.
But it's safe? No virus etc?
I never cheat a game with 3rd party program, only use exploits but I got frustrated when it's impossible get the last achievements with legendary dwellers.
Before I support the game bcs I love fallout serie but this game are just big scam, I told too new ppl never pay anything. There so many exploits you can do as dev don't care do anything with this game and just milking the fans.
E.g Exploit fast time - save nuka cola, just move time zone
Invaded by e.g. scorpion, just save and exit, two thing can happen, either it cancel out the event or the scorpion will be harmless against your resource etc
How too kill easiest the deathclaw, first row too entrance, build only tier 1 room x1 room, deathclaw dies as bugs as difficulties are scaled the size of the room, tier room (never upgrade it). Deathclaw dies in 4th room without max dps weapons. etc
Cash isn't problem, having 4-5 level of one tier 1 x1 room, you will never have issue with caps.
Sry for wall of text, just frustrated atm, appreciate if you know the site is safe?
Sincerely Lambda
*safe as no keyloggers/trojan/virus
Thx m8
I appreciate all your answer and your help.

Other than the fact this is far easier in PC games is why we were left out of the 25th anniversary everything.
So if your behaviour impacts other players it is the business of every single person who lost out due to the other platforms having more paying players.
If you cheat in a stand alone game it impacts no one but cheating in ways that mean sales are lost to the developer. publisher and if it is hooked up to Steam then Valve itself can have and has had in the case of this game negative consequences.
I don't see well enough to want to play the android version to get away from a rampant culture of enabling cheating.
If you ever develop something yourself or your income is tied to the income of something developed you improved it would be sad if it took that to change your position on what is robbery but how would you feel watching 80 percent of your friends fired due to the drop in profits?
Scenes like that are way too common in gaming companies Compared to a lot of companies it's not like these guys put out garbage. It was an amazing sale and per hour ten dollars is a a drop in how much time most people who care enough to post about it have under their belt per hour.
It keeps coming on computers I buy my Steam record is a fraction of hours.
I wouldn't cheat a company that produced a pike of junk but you need to think about the human consequences in real terms not just the players robbed of better events as the PC community has been considered a write-off but the hard working nerds who bring you the games, deal with issues with them and in some are there for you if in a rage your significant other destroys everything you own in a game ( this happens so often maybe if you have one make a script so all it launches is your email from Feb 13-15 and on any significant anniversary )
It's easy to forget people bring us the games you love unless you have done exactly that watched people you like scatter to the winds . Pondered how will they feed their dogs if they have massive ones and so on.
It became everyone's business for this game when as a group we were impacted by the use of this cheat engine. Let's not be cute and call it and editor.
You managed to take someone who was considering participating in an amazing sale and made them not. Hopefully 100 percent of employees earn more than ten bucks an hour but thanks for the demo of why shiny things don't come to Windows players.
They haven't abandoned it. While it would be nice if they issued a statement confirming it is because people mod the PC version too easily as the cause of our being left out of the 25th anniversary it does seem likely.
True abandonware you can legally do what you want with it . I noticed something in it's third iteration having worked on it on it's second attempt to make money . It had been categorized as abandoned by the developers on purpose in case others could solve the issues and not deprive people.
This isn't abandoned. Every so often things even change which for it's age is impressive .
Rationalize it all you want but while there are games you can cheat in and not impact your fellow players this isn't one of them.
I had no idea it was this bad as once upon a time you had to accidentally wind up somewhere to see such blatant promotion of cheating .
If you reason it's not the impacted financial supporters of the game, business if people cheat why did you go to such efforts to make sure people knew where to get a virus free cheat engine. I find the term editor a bit too cute for what it does.
It's an old game so it's likely not worth the salary of people to find game play that would indicate this is in use but until it is legally out of copyright or they go broke and no one buys them calling theft editing doesn't make it right.
Your self righteous attitude isn't proving anything to anyone. Using a save editor maybe considered 'cheating' but, it's not a 'contest' game and doesn't matter. You act like it makes some big difference cuz it's 'robbing' the developers of money. It's not. The person wanting the save editor for whatever reason they want it, would find it easy enough without my help. And, they were already determined to get it BECAUSE they felt robbed by the developer.....having already purchased a bunch of lunchboxes in the past only to get nothing but 'junk.'
If anything, games like this where you get suckered into paying more and more as you play are a rip off.....in MY opinion....and I refuse to spend money into them. It's no different than a casino where people get addicted and start blowing their life savings because they think they can get ahead by spending more when in truth it's a lie and you'll most likely never get ahead except for in those rare cases of great luck. I've seen these type of games ruin people. My wife happens to be one of those that gets addicted in these kinds of games and ends up blowing her social security check without even realizing she's overspent herself in a matter of days. If I could, I'd hack every one of these type of games and make save editors for those who want them. If the Devs want to make money on a game, they should sell it in the first place instead of using it as bait.......here, play this 'free' game......oh, and here's some stuff you can buy that'll help your game.....ca'ching....ca'ching. The reason they do this is cuz they're greedy and found they could make MORE money this way.
If people want to show support for the devs, they will. And, that's what it's about...voluntarily giving money to someone who provides a product / service you need or want. Not to someone tricking you into cutting a hole in your money pouch so it's drained before you realize it. You'll state that's the consumer's fault because they should be more responsible. And, I'll agree....it's easy for me to say that because I have a lot of willpower and restraint. I'm actually considered a bit of a penny pincher. Yet, look at my steam library and see how many games I've PAID for.....thus supporting game developers. But, a lot of people have a lot less willpower / restraint and almost can't help themselves when it comes to spending. And, that's what the devs are counting on. So, who's the real 'crooks' here? Hmm......
What I notice in couple years are this:
. Open over xxxxxxxxx lunchboxes and other micro transition and didn't give a single thing of it. Why do I need extra stimpack, some nobody character (not legendary), always same legendary junk I already have over 100 and never need it but never get e.g. Chemistry flask for crafting weapon e.g Dragon's Maw.
. Full of bugs, if I send character max leveled hence L50 max stats with +7 luck gear, I can be in wasteland over 30h and never encounter anything. Not even a single enemies?
. My other save file got corrupted that I have wasted money on it, this isn't a game. This become pay2win BS genre
. To get the hardest achievements I need all legendary character, that's basic impossible, saw how ytber wasted over 500 lunchboxes etc just get few of them, some was duplicate wtf
. Dev nerfed lunchboxes+quantum cola drops%, legendary junk etc in wasteland.
I have already wasted money for a dev who doesn't care update and fix the bugs, still lots of bugs e.g. MysteryMan bugs, graphic bugs, instant death etc
When devs doing great work, I support them and many time bought deluxe, even I don't need it.
Stop with your self righteous attitude and realize it's a dead game, I want just complete the last achievements and delete the game after it.
As well that Mardoin69 mention, ppl get addicted this kind of pay2win micro transitions games, losing lots of money that doesn't give back compare other game that give something back after how you perform the game.
Sincerely Tired scammed gamer
*Don't take it personal or anything, I'm tired, annoyed and burned out of this game will never been 100% complete. It wasn't long time ago one of my save file got corrupted again. I regret I didn't do save backup but that's my fault.
I never cheated in my life, never used 3rd party program (as well other games), I actually supported this stupid game long time ago and wasted money on it and still no support help when the game bugged out or savefile got corrupted.
If the devs actually improved the game, better drops%, more fun activities introduced etc... I would support them again.
But it's dead game, how many years old is this game and what was the latest patch introduced?
Ignore that person, I agreed with you 100% everything you mention. I want again thank you for be true "supporter" in a game compare devs supporter who doesn't care anything.
I'm always honest person, I never used 3rd party cheats entire my life e.g aimbots etc.
Only thing I have done are using exploits+cheese that's totally legit in single player.
But this Fallout Shelter are basic a gambit, I'm refusing gamble money for many hundreds of dollar too complete one achievement.
Sincerely
Awesome. Ta for the recommendation. I'll probably give this a try and then uninstall after getting the 100% achievement.
