This game is very unlikely to cause crash issues for a PC. It's possible you have something else going on in your PC causing this crash issue. But, if you want to be sure somethings not wrong with the game installation, you'll want to run a registry cleaner app.....something like CCleaner......after uninstalling. This needs done to remove any erroneous data that gets left in Windows Registry keys. Cuz, that data just gets re-used upon re-installing the game. Thus you still have the same issues again. Afterward, restart PC, start steam, install game, manage properties and 'Verify files.'

Is this a newer game for you or had you been playing it successfully prior to having this issue?

I've played ages of it, I've run CCleaner and Malwarebytes not too long ago. It happens with no other games just FOS

So, if you uninstalled, backed up your saves, deleted all left behind folders, restarted your PC and then ran CCleaner to remove all traces of the game, restarted PC again and doubled checked for any remaining registry issues, then did a clean install, verification and started a new game, then it still crashes PC?

Run Dxdiag.exe and check if you have any directX issues. If so, be sure to resolve those. Be sure the game's files are excluded in your AV exclusions. Reset Windows Firewall. In steam library, fallout shelter, manage--properties....that all settings are correct and that you don't have any commands in the startup options--that maybe erroneous causing this issue. Verify Files while you're there.

Do you have all the MS C++ pkgs installed? Might try running the MS C++ All-in-one pkg that TechPowerUp supplies on their website to be sure you have them all installed.

I can't think of what else with this game might be causing the issue.

Ok, that's good news. So, do try all the other suggestions as those are mostly software related and can be app crashing causes.
