Fallout Shelter
Monster resistance / Weapon Type / Dweller SPECIAL relationship
Anyone know anything if certain enemy takes more damage from certain type of weapon, also if Dweller (assuming out of vault ones are maxed SPECIAL, so its down to outfits) need to equip more SPECIAL on said weapon (i.e. S weapon wear S to boost damage?) to boost extra damage?

Recently hit a weird bottleneck where I never had issue before but just now 2 quests in a row, sending out max SPECIAL lv50 dwellers to quests and well equipped (aside from known to self issue some may not max, maxed Endurance while leveling), Deathclaw and Radscorpion became extremely hard to hit and (not boss variant) hits almost 50% health off every hit.

Noticed this on Converge of Scientists (i think that's the name), and Weapon Run (require level 45+).

Wear +7 agility items for maximum damage in quests.

The high power enemies are when you only get one of them in larger rooms - if there were multiple enemies the damage rate would be spread out among them instead.

I don't think the game had any hidden mechanics like that. Weapons either focus damage on a single target or AoE on multiple, and the AoE weapon damage number is split across every enemies present in the room. Weapons handling can be improved with Agility which mean more DPS, and Luck triggers more critical prompts (A17 L10).

That could even be a bug if it shaves off 50% per hit. Happened to me on very rare occasions where a dweller takes severe radiation damage upon entering a room (50-70%). And sometimes they return to vault after quest with just 1 HP, even though they exited the quest with almost 80% HP. A boss special attack would make sense but not from regular enemies.
I have noticed some quests having extremely damage resistant Radscorpions but they deal regular damage and drop Stimpak when killed.
It's just weird. And really had no other explanation?

I just send another 2 lv50 max SPECIAL wearing same outfit A+5 but instead of using Armour Piercing Mini (19-23) & Vegence (22-26), I use Night Vision Institute Rifle (17-22) & Megatron 4000 (16-21) and melts the stupid Deathclaws x2 in bottleneck room.
