Does the radio room work?
Hello,

I built the radio room when it became available, upgraded it once and staffed it with a 6C dweller. So far, in two weeks of playing, only one new dweller has shown up from the wasteland.

Is that normal? Or is the room broken?

Regards

It is likely normal. You do not get waves of new dwellers on purpose. It is supposed to be done internally or gradually.

Maybe you have not switched it to wasteland and it's being broadcast in the vault. There is a switch that if u change it to wasteland , you will see a timer . When the timer hits 0 a dweller shows up at your door

I think I know now what was wrong. The countdown in the radio room to the new settler doesn't go down when the game isn't running, like in the other rooms. It only ticks down when the game is being played.

Also, when this timer reaches zero, it doesn't mean you are guaranteed to get a new dweller; it is only a chnce, and this chance of a new dwller turning up only increases when you upgrade your radio room. Fully upgrade it, and hopefully you should see an improvement.

Yeah, learned that today :D

Higher charisma means faster newcomers.

Its an alternative to raising kids. Honestly, kids is better since the radio attracts raiders and deathclaws.

I have two people working in it with high charisma and so far gotten four dwellers from the waistland.

Raiders don't bother me, the crew in the first room they enter kills them in twenty seconds. Haven't seen any Deathclaws yet.

And I agree, babies are the thing to do but you still need dwellers from the outside, otherwise all your dwellers will be related :D
