ps.
contact behesda, it do seem that multi account on same pc has a issue.
The developers of Fallout Shelter used a directory referenced by the loged in user (C:\Users\ (Logged In User)\AppData ............
Simply logging off of steam and changing users only overwrites the User specific file associated with the logged in windows account holder.
Create another user account on your puter and log the friend into it before logging into steam. Different user name, different saves!!
Oh and there are no cloud saves of this game.....................
who said they change computer user name, they just switch steam account user, that has always been done this way, then you visit a friend. ( steam login in temporary at random friends pc. )
problem with create diffrent computer user as guest is ( many things need to be update or is not installed ) ( but that is the right way to do it. seen from a access and rights only per User/computer account )
The thing is that Fallout Shelter, like many games, stores their saves in the user folder for whoever is logged into that machine. It doesn't matter what Steam account someone is logged in as, it still uses the same save folder. So if you update your saves from the cloud, it will overwrite whatever saves are in the user folder, regardless of what Steam account they belong too.
