Quest not loading

I have a quest (Diplomatic Mission) that will not load, every time I press enter the game goes to the loading screen and then back to the vault.
I've tried restarting the game, to no effect. Does anyone have any ideas what to do to correct this as I've a dweller stuck ready to start the quest, which now can't be cancelled.

[Edit] Forgot to mention I play on PC with Windows 10 (64).

I’m on the same boat, have a game in iOS where that quest doesnt load.
People suggested me to reinstall the game, which hasnt helped so far.
I’m subscribing to this topic, in case someone finds a fix.

I've, possibly, found a fix for the PC version as the quest has just loaded (and been completed) for me.
I used a save editor to reset the settlers travel time to the quest (hoping that it would let me cancel the quest, which it didn't) and apparently 'arriving' for the second time allowed me to access the quest.

It worked for me when I startet the mission out of the main menu on the right and not by clicking into the left.

Is that iOS?
I'm on PC which has a different layout.

No, PC. Just go into the menu and open the quest there instead of opening it in the left field outside the vault.

In the Overseer's office? That hadn't worked for me.

i just found that bug its like a dopleganger one part is going to the quest the other returned used some nukacola to bring them back to the vault . not sure it solved the problem though, got other issues as well going on in that vault, cant delete an elivator on the outside wall because its connected to 2 rooms?

Is it the only elevator on that floor? If so the game won't delete it as it will disconnect the floor in question from the rest of the vault, and vice-versa. If not then I have no idea and don;t know what to suggest.

had this issue. wouldn't launch from the overseers office but launched from the overworld map, during an incident where the overseer's office was disabled.

Do you guys know what the specific quest is, cuz for me it was the eliminate the molerat Brood Mother

also on a side note, the enter through the overseerer's thing worked for me (on PC)

Usually, when you go to begin a quest that your dwellers are waiting at....and you get it failing to execute...thus throwing you back into your vault....it means the game is out of sync. The solution is (has always worked for me) to open the menu (on right) and save the vault. Then exit back to main menu. Now, reload (enter) the vault and start your quest. Think I may have had to do this a couple times on one quest......but, that was so long ago I can't remember for sure.
