Wasteland scavenging = waste of time
Sending Dwellers out in the Wasteland to collect loot no longer works, period. Doesn't matter who you send, what you send them with, they NEVER collect any loot anymore. I get the 2 lines of Quest text then all time based dialog is gone, never to return.

i heard that their Perception SPECIAL is what determines how much loot your dwellers find when exploring, not sure if this is what you mean or if there is a new bug in the game (i havent pleyed this for a while since a update broke the game for me)

No, I mean it's broken. Send anyone out for days at a time, nothing. The timer starts, I get the first line of text dialog about leaving the Vault, then the second line with Time of 0:00:00 and the timer never advances, I get no further lines of text.

The Calendar no longer works as well. I went through a week, ending on the lunchbox reward, the Timer resets, it runs down, but the Week never clears to start again. The Timer just runs down and resets...

A broken game for me now...

some folks said that reinstalling the game might fix a few things, you could try that, might be a corrupt file or the like.
(doesnt work for me cuz the game engine complains i dont have dx11, which i indeed dont, but the game ran fine for years before)

Never heard of this one. That truely sux.

Try verifying your game siles through steam.

And iuf you have ever "manually adjusted" your pc's clock. . . .Don't do it again. As this sounds like a result of doing so.

Came preloaded onto an MSI laptop I recently purchased...not a 'Steam' generated sale...had trouble with Quests as well. M'eh, free game...clickfest for Fallout4 where I sorted out all 3 factions and remained 'friendly' with all.

Rebecca Ramjet, Queen of the Commonwealth, I referred to her as...she fooled the Institute into thinking she would follow Sean, she didn't. Kept the B.O.S. at bay as well. Only the Railroad did I merely, 'come to terms with'...

Sounds like "someone" messed up with the computer internal clock...

Messed up problems like this one can definitely happen if you cheat.

If it is true that you didn't do it personally then I'm guessing the last owner did. Of course it never happen ever that someone ask tips for "a friend" on such public forums... Nope.

This exact same thing happened to me. There's an issue with my computer where the internal clock gets loopy after the pc has gone in and out of sleep mode. It doesn't happen any more now that I put the settings on never sleep mode.
However, to repair the game I had to download an editor FSSEwin. Inside that editor there is a tab called tools. And in that tab are a few options to fix common bugs. Press fix time glitch. save the file and you should be good to go again.

Also keep a close eye on your computers clock. See if it stays where it's supposed to. Same for the date!
