Fallout Shelter
How do the stats benefit a weapon?
I know the basic stuff, like how Agility makes your person attack faster, perception slows down the critical hit crosshairs...

But what do the stats for the weapon's attributes do? Like the Institute Rifle uses Intelligence, and most other rifles use Perception, and shotguns use Endurance. So what does having a high Int do for someone using an Institute Rifle or End for a Shotgun? Does it just provide a damage bonus? Accuracy? Something more obscure?

Pistols use Agility, which I guess helps make up for their lower damage, because maxing out the Agility means they can shoot faster AND be skilled with the pistol, while someone using a Baseball Bat would have to train Strength for the bat, and Agility for the attack rate. Of course the same thing could be said of Shotguns cause everyone wants to train up Endurance anyway for the HP.

The stat that is shown next to the weapon only indicates what stat is used to produce said weapon. So a high Int helps with making the institute rifle faster, but it does not provide bonuses when using it.

Oh gosh, I spent like 5 days training my ninja to use my institute rifle better. (probably not, but it sure seems that way)

So all that I really need for combat people is endurance and agility... with some luck and perception for crits?

^ Have a look here, good guide for attributes. Edit: Strength for ex. gives higher dmg for dwellers on quests.

I did read that one, and it inspired me to build a second weight room. Well, to roll my eyes and THEN build another weight room. I mean seriously, I had been ignoring strength except for on my power workers cause no way strength would help someone shoot a plasma pistol!

But my question was about the stats linked to weapons. Like the plasma pistol is linked with the agility stat, so I assumed there was a damage bonus or something for having high agility. While the plasma rifle uses perception.
