That only answers the questions about stats. And not this question either, do those stat effects for "quests" also apply to events like monsters or raiders attacking too?
I looked over the site and I can not find the answers to my other questions.
Also, if you send out stim or radiation packs for exploring or quest and you don't use them all, you get the rest back?
How much time when you encounter a special area when exploring, do you have to tell it that you want to enter the area? Is that the same value if logged out or do you automatically skip such encounters or never get them in the first place if logged out?
Will men and pregnant women dance? Will same genders dance? Got a quest for dancing.
^ Pretty good guide for stats.
Dwellers staying in the base only really need a good stat to work the room you want them to work in + later you should train their endurance (unlocks at 35 dwellers) for more HP per level up. You could also train luck, but that's only useful for rushing rooms, but the training room for luck unlocks fairly late.
Higher charisma lessens the time until dwellers decide to make a baby in the living quarters. But i'd just use some charisma clothing to boost that process. Baby / child growing time can't be boosted btw.
Yeah, higher strength can also boost damage, but only on quests. Locations found in the wasteland probably count as quests too, regarding stats.
Basically only endurance for taking dmg and your equipped weapons for dealing dmg. However, the size and level of the room being attacked / on fire will affect the severity of the incident, i.e. harder attackers / stronger fires.
Yeah, but only to the max amount your med labs can hold.
They heal both HP and Rads but only in base and only if you don't have food shortages (HP) or water shortages (Rads). Later on, healing either will take a lot of time though with high level / high HP dwellers.
Not that i know of, no.
Incidents only happen if you're playing. You will lose some rescources after logging out for a while and also if you're actively doing quets, but that can be nullified once you get Mr. Handy robots, which will collect rescources automatically. Make sure to have a good + of rescource income over the minimum demand of your base. Demand for power, food, water can be checked in the game menus.
That's the "Mysterious Stranger" showing up every now and then in random places inside your base. Quite useful finding him during the early game. Oh and the bigger your base, the longer he will be visible.
___
^ Not sure about those two.
Hope this helped a little. :)
So does Luck not help you get more/better items when questing either from looting corpses or searching things that sparkle? (like do more things sparkle with more luck?)
And say agility doesn't help you fight off raiders better by increasing your fire rate like it does with quests?
I've read some stuff that suggests that higher stats and levels can produce better baby's but so far all babies and new residents called in via radio have had the exact same stat total. Is there a certain level/stat total of parents I need to produce better kids? Or is this online stuff misleading and all kids will have the same stat total?
Well, the internet sources i've seen so far didn't state anything about those stats being useful for base incidents. And it's kinda hard to tell who does how much dmg, how often, since there are no HP bars for enemies. Testing could be a bit difficult i guess... hmm...
^ Parents stat total, i guess. Chances seem pretty low though, even with max stat parents. Some training willl always get you what you need, for a "little" time investment...
"Parents' total SPECIAL must be 134 or higher to have a chance at a legendary child.
Parents' total SPECIAL must be 122 or higher to have a chance at a rare child."
Does it mean each parent must have that stat total or between the two parents there must be that much?
I've done radio where it counted down to zero. But then nothing happened, no one showed up. Is it only a chance of someone appearing each time it hits zero?
Yeah, the parents both need to have those stats i think. probably not worth it though, as i said. Even legendary kids have to be trained and it's gonna take a while until you have any high total stat parents. Well, unless you get really lucky and get 2 legendary dwellers from loot boxes early on. Very unlikely...
Yeah, the radio just works on chances per time interval. But i think higher charisma makes it more likely to get dwellers, not sure though. It's a lot faster to breed some dwellers though.
As for the daily / weekly quests, they should reset in real time.
Can you run more than one vault? Something online spoke of being able to have 3 but I don't see how to do it.
They surely meant savegame slots, so 3 seperate games / vaults.
