Sending dewellers to the wasteland

Is it worth it? What is better, quests or exploring (proppably both) and is there somethink like, more time spend exploring- more/better loot.

Dwellers to the wasteland > It is really, really, really worth it for a) the early stages of your vault, when you have no weapons nor outfits and b) for early stages and mid stages, when you need a lot of caps to upgrade and expand your vault and for the workshops.

More/better loot > Longer = more and SPECIAL = better (not sure). Pets also help.

Early game, send someone to the wastes to get better weapons and outfits. that will be the quickest way to gear up your dwellers. Once you unlock the overseer office, do both missions and wasteland travel. Later, wasteland trips will focus on getting legendary parts for crafting.

Lots of junk, fast levelling and the chances of finding legendary items/blueprints are all results of being in the wasteland for a long period of time, it's complete worth it.

Personally I don't find wasteland trips worth it. My people never seem to find much of any use. 90% of the current weapons and outfits I have I got from doing quests and I've already got several good weapons from quests the best I got from wasteland trips were toy cars and one or two early weapons and outfits.

Wasteland trips are only worth it when they get a long way from the vault. At least 1-2 full days of exploring.
