Fallout Shelter
Objective completion
So I got a parrot that gives x2 objective completion, so I naturally thought any objective that gets completed will be doubled if anyone got it as a pet, but nope nothing....does enyone know what it really does?

Basically that pet needs to be in the room or on person that does the objective.
So it doesn't work for some of them at all, like merge N rooms or sell N rooms.

Experiment and find some sneaky ways to use it for some other objectives.

its the mini quest to do the 3 repeatable "Objectives"

........................................................
copy a part of info from the net so you can see idea of it.

It helpes the room where dweller with Pip is stationed to achieve the objectives faster.

For instance, if you have objective extinguish six fires, you'll only have to deal with two fires in that room. Same works for other objectives.

If you have objective that says collect X resources each resource collection from the room with that pet inside is multiplied by that amount too.

Needless to say it's very useful in completing hard objectives, like killing Deathclaws some amount of time, etc. etc.

UPD: I can confirm this, as I have the German shepherd, which also improves the objective completion rate.

not sure if it can be use at overseer quest, this was added later to the game.

Any more info on what we should be doing with this type of pet? I just got Charlie the dog who has 2x objective completion as the bonus. Will he train SPECIAL skills twice as fast? Should I just put it on a worker for a resource that I'm low on?

No no no. It's only for objectives ffs :steamfacepalm:
If you have objective for resource - then use him but it won't multiply resources.

It's a good pet when you have objectives like "level up 30 dwellers" or "survive 10 deathclaws attacks with no casualties". With some clever thinking, you can just keep swapping around this pet between dwellers and get a lot of those objectives done REAL fast.

All the objective pets do is allow a dwellers progress to count more than once for an objective. So a dweller with a x2 objective pet that lands a critical during a quest should be creditied with two crits if there is an objective to get X number of crits.
