Do Vault-Babies inherit thier parents stats in some way or is it random?

Just wondering as im planning on training 2 of my dwellers up to 10 for all S.P.E.C.I.A.L stats and then get them to breed. will the baby get somewhat high stats or is it just luck or high charisma that you get high stats.

in my experience it's based on luck, IF the baby gets high SPECIAL. then you have no control about which SPECIAL is high.
to increase the chance i'll give the female dweller a +7 luck outfit and a +SPECIAL pet.
i got best results with level 50 parents with 10 in all SPECIAL:

When they have all specials maxed then Endurance would always be the highest because of how game is implemented.
Well, with +3 pet you might get several 10s, so it would be ONE of highest.

That's normal, algorhythm does not promise that highest stat of legendary baby would be 10.

I've mistaken, not Endurance, but Intelligence unfortunately, as you see your I is 10.

at the end i don't care about which of the SPECIAL is 10 when the baby "ships" with high stats. but i would prefer if it's L, E and something else but not C

Endurance is really desirable, because every overseer would like to level up all his dwellers with 17 Endurance since level 1 for max MaxHP.
