Charisma usefulness

Is charisma useful for anything else except breeding dwellers and work in radio station?
What else can I use this stat on other dwellers?

I have heard tell that it allows dwellers exploring the wasteland to avoid encounters, meaning they (and their stimpaks) last longer and get further out, where the better lootz are found; also it gives dwellers on a quest more dialog options, which may allow you to talk your way out of an encounter -- thus once again allowing you to not spill your blood on the ground and save stimpaks.
i am also very tired and will not do a search to confirm what i just typed, i leave that to the student to do.
