Vault wont load

Hey guys,

Woke up this morning trying to load my fault with 170 dwellers, it gets to the loading screen, and after 5-10 seconds game crash.

My drivers are updated, firewall is disabled. Restarted my laptop multiple times, memory is just fine still got a ton of space.

Strangely enough I can create a new vault and use that. I just cant open the one ive been working on.

Is it just me? Or is anyone having similar issues today? PLEASE HELP any advice is super appreciated

Two possibilities spring to mind:

1) Some people have been having problems with a recent Windows 10 update re. Fallout Shelter.

2) Your saved game file may be corrupt.
Unfortunately, this has happened to a lot of people.

You need to back up your game.
This won't help you if your game has already crashed, but it will solve the problem in the future.

The location for saved game files is in the second-last section ("Backing up your saved game files for Fallout Shelter") in this guide:

However, you could try deleting the "Vault1.sav" and the "Vault1.sav.bkp" files and see if the Steam Cloud restores your game.

I had this issue and steam did re-back up my save after i deleted it from the files, but it still crashes. Once it first happens thats all that will happen, you'll have to make a new vault. Its a shame

Disable 'Cloud Sync' for this game... in the 'properties' window.
