Can i interrupt trainning and continue later ?

Lets say i assigned somebody to train strength, it required for example 6 hours for completing the trainning, can i drag the person away after 3 hours to do something then continue ? do the time start counting from the beginning or continue where it stopped ?

Training has an internal counter that is saved between training sessions for each stat.
In short: it's safe.
