Too many Raider Attacks

Ive started playing this game for a couple of days now and i must say, there are too many Raider Attacks. Like does it depend on what level you are? For instance lvl20 = 2 attacks, so forth

The best way to defend yourself against raiders is to build the power room (3 power-rooms in a raw) to the right at the gate (destroying the initial dwellers bedrooms). There you should put 5 or 6 dwellers with your best guns. Next you should build another power-room (with 2 power-rooms in a raw) at the right of the first one.

Nice joke...just started the game...after 40 minutes I a have been attacked by 5 waves of 4 to 5 raiders each :D

At first I felt there were too many ... now I sit up nights wishing another group of foolish raiders would come along for my people to have target practice on ... go figure ;)

Teach me master! How on earth were you so lucky with that much attack? :D Im trying to figure out what is the best way to get attacked by the raiders a lot. I might have too much dwellers so now Im attacked by deathclaws instead.
Probably have to start another vault again :/

I have been wondering about the raider frequency aswell. Yesterday I started a new vault on survival mode. At first there was many hours before even a single raider attack. Then suddenly there was like 6-8 attacks with about 5 minute interval. After that maybe a raid once in an hour. I have a few guesses what might have triggered the raiders. The raiders started appearing after the first time I upgraded a room. Other things I noticed was that out of 12 dwellers I had 3 dwellers exploring (1-1,5 hours each), 3 pregnant, over 6k caps and an unupgraded vault door. It felt like the raiders cooled down as soon as I upgraded the vault door, deconstructed my upgraded room and my explorers returned.

I can't say for sure if all of the things I mentioned affected the raider frequency but some of them might have.
