There is no pausing; everything happens over time. Each minute passed IRL, is another minute that will be calculated the next time you open up the game.

The closest thing one could get to pausing, is to exit the game completely. My apologies.

Sorry, but the game kind of has to work that way, heh-heh. I can explain if you want.

Here is a copy-paste I've found online. I think it's still accurate:

Anyone wandering the wasteland will continue to do so (fighting, finding stuff, gaining XP). People in the training rooms will still train, pregnancies will still advance, children will grow up. Shortly after closing the app, the resources will stop draining. The production rooms will continue their job until they finish one round (waiting for you to click on the water/food/power) and then stop.

No "Incidents" will occur. Caps won't randomly accrue or anything.

So it's kind of "paused". :)

Hmm, I believe that is true. Was posting based off of memory of personal experience. Though, I had in mind that it wouldn't be fully paused, since your wastelanders would still be out there, etc.

Though it might just be chance, whenever I go back in after a long time of not playing, there seems to be a situation of some sort happening almost immediately. (Fires, radroaches, raiders, etc.)

I think the resources do drain, just a very small amount over time, at least from what I have observed from personal experience. It may also have changed since then, since I'm not familiar with Nuka Cola Quantum in this game.

Other than that, though, I think that is correct.
