most dangerous disaster - fire
how can I increase fire fighting? I saw somwhere its inteligence but its not. I have to always use so plenty of stimpacks when fire starts, even in lab with full ppl with high inteligence

Endurance and Intelligence? ^^

More hitpoints mean the less the hitpoint bar going down. XD

I know, but how can I beat fire faster?
Tetsuri Jun 8, 2017 @ 6:09am
maybe you has bug, you shouldn't need to use stim packs on fire.

I have seen some discussions on the internet where people claim that Int increases the speed at which fires are put out, but that doesn't match what I have experenced so far. Seems to be a false conclusion possibly drawn from the fact that they compared 3-sized normal rooms with 1-2 sized Clinics when they first noticed it, as room size has a huge influence on the power of disasters.

I think there is no way to increase your efficiency at extinguishing fires, other than not connecting rooms, which would be a huge disadvantage in general that's probably not worth it, and of course dragging in more people if the room isn't fully staffed.

In normal mode, Fires should not cause serious damage though, so you're probably playing Survival Mode? In that case, the mst effiicient way of dealing with fires is to... well, not be logged in. That's sort of the main problem with that mode, it discourages you from playing it whenever there's nothing too important going on.

even in survival mode, a single fire should not be difficult to handle. If et was 3 fires, maybe you'd have to stim once.

The level of the room can affect the power of any in vault emergency (fire, roaches, rats, scorpions). A fire in a level one room will start out weaker than one in a level three room. If the room (level 1) is at least partially staffed they can usually keep it from getting worse till some help arives.

to add to that, you don't have to fight a fire in a difficult place if you evict it, that's if you're confident that you can handle the ensuing spread. Heavily depends on your vault layout.

Still, if et was strong because of room level, other incidents should still be harder.

lvl 3 room fires are tough and you can use over 10 stipmaks easy you need to get those stats pumped.

My best approach to fight fires is not to fight them at all.
Use the dirt to stop the fires, especially in survival but also in the standard game I've built all my unoccupied rooms, so living and storage rooms & overseer room away (=seperated by a dirt wall) from the rest of the vault only linked by a single elevator connection.

All you need is endurance and level up your dwellers to a level appropriate to the room level
(and as others have pointed out isolate empty rooms so that fire can't spread).

Hmm, sounds like a good setup, one side for empty rooms and one side for active rooms, might be better than the checkerboard clusterfudge everyones suggesting.

lol, who's everyone? I don't see any such suggestion here.

Ok... So you never saw the checkerboard advice, personally speaking I dont bother worrying about it unless its survival cuz less than a few thousand caps and anyone who died is back again. Survival is the only real problem with fires cuz the normal game is just throw caps at any problem.
