Legendary Dwellers?
Few questions.

1. Do legendary babies count towards the 20 legendary dwellers achievement?

2. What are the different ways to get legendary dwellers? I know you can give birth to them (and I know how to), and I know you get them from lunch boxes. Any other ways?

3. I've read that you need to have a certain dweller CAPACITY (not actual dwellers living in the vault) in order to unlock the possibilty of getting the different legendary dwellers. Is that right? Is there anything else to make it unlock? (I have 200 capacity, and I just opened 4 lunch boxes, and didn't get even one dweller at all...)

4. For lunchboxes, what are the odds of getting legendary dwellers? I haven't even gotten one yet. Does anyone know the percentage for odds of getting a dweller, and odds for it being legendary?

5. Do doubles of legendary dwellers count towards the 20 legendary achievement?

1. No
2. Lunchboxes, 2 from quests. per Vault
3. No. Special stats of both parents need to be near maximum (all tens). 6% chance.
4. Seems to be about one in 30 boxes.
5. Yes

For 3., I was meaning for finding them in lunchboxes. I've seen some people saying that certain legendaries won't come AT ALL if your dweller capacity isn't high enough.

I don't know about capacity, as the first 3 lunchboxes i got (basicly the tutorial) yielded 2 legendary and 1 rare dweller. That was with just the starting living quarters.

Yeah that can be possible, but what I've heard is that "certain" legendary dwellers don't come, unless some conditions are met. For example, one person said they had gotten many doubles of some of the dwellers, and there were a few they just couldn't seem to get. Then they upped their dweller capacity and bam, got a bunch of new unique dwellers.

I should also note, if there's a 1/30 chance of getting a legendary dweller from a lunchbox, and the only way to get legendary dwellers that count towards the achievement is through lunchboxes, that means you'll need an average of 600 lunchboxes in order to get this achievement.......

That's just begging us to cheat (or spend money, but it shouldn't be p2w).

I've maybe got like 30 lunchboxes total thus far, and gotten zero legendary dwellers, and I'm already getting close to end game content. This just seems like a part of the game that's asking me to cheat in hundreds of lunchboxes, which I don't want to do.

Not really. That's not an entirely accurate representation of math.

If you're already going to cheat... you could give yourself 20 starter boxes which would get you your 20 legendaries as each box contains one.

I have 200 dwellers, one is the throw-out guy in case i get a new.
- Now if i get a legendary one, do i have to keep him? (he would be the new throw-out guy)
- How do i regocnize if its a legendary or not?

I would hate to exchange more dwellers... they are all leveled to the max and 10/10...

I think all you have to do is just collect the legendary dweller(get him in your vault). After that it doesn't really matter if you throw him out or not. As far as recognizing legendary dwellers: if they drop from a lunchbox, they will make the same noise as legendary weapons, outfits, junk, etc. when flipping the card and when you check your survival guide the Dwellers tab should have that "New" sticker on it. You can also always check the Fallout wiki to see a list of all the legendary dwellers.

You dont really have to have 200 dwellers. For me a number round 140 is very good. And it seems that if you want babies with better stats the only way is to find some pets that they give additional number of stats to the newborn. You put them to one or both of the dwellers that are going to make a baby and that baby will have the additional stats that the pet gives(or even pets that give chance for twins).
