He danced twice for me on several occasions. Even three times once. I think it depends on how quickly you click on them.
If raider attacks are still a problem 2 hours in, then you're doing something wrong.
Even Deathclaws aren't a problem for me anymore, they always die in the second room. Only ones that still cause problems are radscorpions, because they jump from room to room and unless they happen to jump into a room with dwellers in it, you'll be chasing them all day while they drain your power.
