Vault security
Can I get a security room where I can assign dwellers so they will respond to any negative events in any room in the vault? That would be super helpful.

You can assign two dwellers to an entrance to a vault. Otherwise you have to manually move them each time something external bangs into.

I'd like such a room too, but with some way to restrict where they respond (I have storage rooms down below from where most stuff can't spread, don't care what happens there).

I build a 2-square Power room every 4 Levels or so and put it in the middle (usually by empty-ish training rooms or warehouses) that way I have a 2-3 man response team close, plus rather than sitting in an empty warehouse, say as a barracks, the power room gives "idle" guards Levels Up and produces extra Power

I know there are ways to get responders to a place, I just think a security room would be a good addition to the game. They do seem to be present in just about every vault in other fallout games. Just wanted to get the idea out there where Bethesda might see it and maybe do something with it.

The problem is getting them to the place before the event moves to other rooms. That's why it's usually advisable to make sure every floor has a room that will always be staffed with dwellers doing something productive.

What would really help would be a way to select all the dwellers in a room as a group to move them to another room.

Yeah I thought about this as well but... someone already mentioned the issue with this:

Now one thing that could be done possibly is assign up to 6 dwellers on each floor a "security" tag and IF a room is empty when an event happens on the floor they are on they rush to it like the Mr. Handy bots do. Then once the event ends they return to their assign duty.

I don't think games like this let you automate tasks like that. At the very least they should allow you to right-click the room, sellect 'All Dwellers', then click the room to move them too.

Well there are several automated parts already like for example when you move dwellers to a room with an event they automatically return to their previous task once the event is dealt with and the Mr Handy is automated by itself, it roams from room to room on a floor and it rushes to a room with an event and automatically start dealing with it. I would think they could use a similar task for certain dwellers on each floor the same way. Soon as an event starts whatever dwellers you assign a security tag to will act just like the Mr Handy when an Event happens on the floor they are on and rushes to it, then they can return to the room they where in after it is dealt with like they already do now.

I've commented above, and while my system of 2-Block Power Rooms as "Barracks" works well -- I've reconsidered, and It would be very simple to either have a "Security Room" or a simple Icon you can attach to Dwellers wherin ANYTIME an alarm goes off those Dwellers would Automatically run/respond to that room -- example for "X" amount of Caps you build a security room (1 block- can expand to 3 for more guards, not neccesarily upgrade) -- you have say 4 "Security" -- when ANY Alarm goes off-- Fire, Molerats, Roaches, even If that room has Dwellers in it, Security rushes in (4 say go in, 4 workers temporarily go out ala Pregnant Ladies) but esp empty training rooms, Warehouses, etc If it has an Alarm an Red Lights- Security goes there,
Radscorpions?? Security runs around Like Fools catching It !! - no matter how "Automatic"
It would be, Like workers, you have to keep an eye on 'em and give 'em Stims and Rad --the only possible exception would maybe be Raiders at the Vault Door- (but I think Security would go there too, esp Deathclaws)
