Pronouncing the Steropes

I'm sure every one of you have heard different variations. I've heard many myself... so this is what I've come up with... I guess, lol
Similar to the star cluster 'Pleiades'

Steropes is pronounced as ST-ROWPiy-Z or STAIR-uh-peez

What are your thoughts? Maybe the Devs can chime in on this becasue there seems to be some confussion.

I've been pronouncing it with only one syllable, like "ropes" with an "st" on the front. But I'm pretty sure that is wrong.

I find myself switching between the two, which is why I just had to make this post. It's really bothering the hell out of me, lol

Stair + row + peas is how I usually pronounce it.

And for the other ship: are + jez or sometimes just Arg.
