All the best loot lies outside of the Bethyr system, you need to explore.

Thanks mate, appreciate the info.
I don't know. I think something has changed. Now maybe the area is just picked clean but I've searched 24 different derelicts and modules around Broken Marble and did not find a single component or warp cell. I found a total of 1 stimpak, 1 refined container and 1 small resource container. That's it.
This morning I found 3 new CMs and thought my luck had changed. They were completely empty. At first I thought oh well that's how it is. But then I noticed that all the interior doors were closed. Who turns around and closes the interior door on the top when they leave? And when I say picked clean, I mean not a single item, no stimpack, ammo, nothing.
So, perhaps there is something wrong with the respawn rate or maybe the server is just really picked over. But there was only 8 ppl on last night and 3 this morning. So even if it is working as designed, I'm not sure the respawn rate will support the number of players you anticipate.
When I got back to my base all my suits and packs were missing. At first I thought I was raided but when I relogged everything was there. So I made a trip back to BM and searched those 3 CMs again, relogging after entering, but they were still empty.
However if you're on a busy server everybody will be going to Broken Marble after fresh start. You'll need to wait for the loot to respawn, perhaps warp away and check others and come back. Look out for AC-ARGs on the radar - if you see lots of them around BM then there's almost certainly going to competetion for those parts.
Also - if you suspect there are parts missing always do a relog - that's a reasonably common bug.
Just after a new patch is a guaranteed time for everybody to be doing a fresh start so I suspect this issue will be lessened in time as people get established and the fresh spawn rate is low, but regardless the starter zones may need to be tweaked to lessen the impact of a new patch or server wipe.
That was also my experience. Ran out of warp before I could find anything.
The Rub: Needs to be difficult while realistic. Problem, the reduced amount of derelicts and little loot with low respawn timers. Leaving only a few solo players with a chance at surviving the start. Forcing team work as a means to progress. The guy that did find the loot was able to get out of Beth find several more critical parts to that process and now can dish them out to fellow players who were left out in the cold with no loot/parts to find. That's fairly realistic. The Rub down: Not many will like it.
Some devs have worked around the problem with localized loot spawns for the player in the area. Another will not see the same items, if they have already taken the loot. Not many like this approach either. Doesn't apply a realistic amount of necessity to force any player interaction as it would when limited loot is implemented.
The devs need to find the sweet spot. Which may take a few patches.......or some server side tuning if that's all it is.
The random spawn of parts on start might need to be static at your starter location. Maybe add another derelict to the start location that has a few more parts, but is further out. Giving the tension of putting the player in a tough choice of getting to them before the debris field hits, having to loot another fresh start location, or searching elsewhere for parts. Putting them in a derelict further away will inspire another unlucky player to try and nab someone elses freshstart parts, where they might be unlucky again. (Getting shot, or running out of time before the derelict is destroyed in the next debri field.)
The devs could probably set this derelict up where it will survive one encounter with a debri field without being repaired. If the player doesn't make it out to loot or repair the derelict it has a greater chance at being destroyed the next time. Plus the possibility of it being hit in the first wave of debri by a large piece and getting destroyed should remain. No guarantees that you will always have a successful fresh start.
If it was a finished product which it isn't, it's bound to change and balancing issues worked out.
It's playable, but the learning curve has changed once again. Making trail and error another task to find what we are looking for. We may just be doing it wrong...... Will take more hands on from everyone to gather the intel. Forcing the team work is a first impression that may not be needed once we do figure out the new learning curve. But will greatly enhance your progress if available.
I searched 2 CMs, 1 ARG, 2 CTM, 1 CIM, 1 CSM and 12 Derelicts. I found not a single item. And the boxes in the Mule's cargo hold were closed as were the interior doors of the CM.
Edit: Also the mule's airlocks and cargo door were closed and the ship pressurized.
Now perhaps someone logged in and cleaned the server out without me noticing. But I find it highly unlikely that someone closed those doors and boxes. I find it more likely that those modules/ships spawned without components.
Perhaps one of the devs could look at the stats from that server (Oceania #3) to see how many ppl have logged into it since the update. The account I created was called "test."
I can only report what I saw while testing.
