How do you refine ores/minerals ?

I managed to mine some nitro mineral, then i had to figure out how to remove the container full of minerals on my drill (hold R until a menu appears then select with mousewheel "Remove container").

The container is then inserted in the propper space and after unloading the mineral i select refine on the refinery tab.
I click the mineral that was just unloaded and drag it into an open slot on the right to be refined.
I hit the refine button and nothing.

What am i missing here ?

I am at the same stage you are.
Seems like the Refinery does not draw power too, so the process does not even start.

I checked that on the power manager console too, there is no way to force it. My guess was that it will turn on automatically once you put ores in it the refinery.

you need to go to the refinery after you mined something and put the container into the slot down left , after that open the panel and click "slot 1" in top right then unload and after that go to refine and drag the stuff from the middle over to the right top slot so you can see what it mines and let it do it , after that it is automatically added on the left (the amounts are pretty damn low though for just 1 thing)

As you can read my post i did just that. Nothing happens when i hit the "Refine" button.

We are stuck on the last part SgtFox. The refining process wont start.

for me it worked but with very low amounts , 1 thing gave not that much

u have to click the rafine in top in the middle there u find the stuff also where 500/500 or else stay

It should work from the Outpost cargo panel. If you are trying to use a panel aboard a station or CBM module it will not work. If it isn't working from the Outpost panel try logging out and in again. Luckily reclogging doesn't take but a few seconds now.

Drag container material to RAW view middle section, confirm. Then in right section change view to REFINE. Drag from middle section RAW to REFINE on right, confirm. Switch to REFINE view in middle section and wait for completion. Then you can keep new materials in REFINE storage or move Left from there to modules, ship.

If nothing happens when you hit REFINE the cause might be that the refined - storage is full. It can only take 500 units. Move everything out of the refined tab into some other storage / tank and refining should work (for the next 500 units).

You can power the refinery by powering up the module it is in. Refineries take a lot of power when active.

its a bug. it had happened to me. i had to wait for a server restart for it to refine. i could not refine or craft items. the game had been extremely buggy lately. it is getting bad..
