Have you tried turning off WiFi before starting the game?

Hello, I'm Peter, from the Netherlands. I bought a brandnew PC, a very highlevelded one, very expensive. For Tower3DPro, and FS2021. But...as the same above here, Tower will not start up. I click on Play, a blue circle is running, and he's stops....I ;m dissapointed, hoped to have a lot of fun with my expansive new PC,and curved monitor, but nothing. I removed the game(sim.) , re-installed him...nothing,nothing. Please help me with tips and suggestions. Thank you very much all. Have a good day.

Yes, I runned the program in admin mode also. But nothing... But why turning off wifi ? Got to be connected isnt it , while running the game ? ( Simulation).

Ever since FeelThere changed their website some people have had problems starting up the game. Since FeelThere has yet to come up with a programmatic solution (and more than likely won’t) the community has determined that turning off WiFi allows the game to load. WiFi is not needed unless you want to play multiplayer and, theoretically, you can turn it back on after the software loads.

OK, well lets see. I tryed several times. But before your tip about wifi. I see the underside of the plane sometimes, by startup. But its going off still. I will try it without wifi on, yes, your right, you dont need wifi with the simulation. Unless you play in multiplayer. Thank you for your eaction. We keep in touch. Have a good day sire.

Experiencing the exact same issues. I have wifi off, running as admin (still connected via ethernet). Can see the static jet image for menu background, but then the program closes abruptly with no indications. The last entry in my log is "Record error state: False", no indications on the crash to desktop.

***UPDATE*** I disabled all connections to the internet (including ethernet, not just wifi) and the game launched immediately. This is clearly an issue on FeelThere's end that they should probably address soon, the game is clearly trying to make some sort of connection and failing, causing the crash. Having to disconnect from the internet to play a game is a pretty significant bug. I wish them the best of luck, I really enjoy this game!

@Nick C
FeelThere has been "looking into it" since January. I doubt very much that they will ever fix the problem, although I will be happy to be proven wrong.

EDIT:
Okay, I don't want to be pessimistic without at least providing a potential solution.

You could try doing the following:
  • Click on the Windows icon (Start) in the taskbar
  • Find and expand Windows Accessories in All Apps
  • Right click on Notepad
  • Click on More -> Run as administrator
  • Open the file [Windows drive, probably C:]\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\hosts (hosts is not a folder but a file without extension)
  • Add the following line to the end of the file and save it
127.0.0.1 192.124.249.158 # prevent Tower!3D Pro from phoning home
Now exit Notepad and restart your PC.

Then it should be theoretically possible to start the game with an active internet connection.
Since I personally have no problems starting Tower!3D Pro, I can't say for sure if it works.

CAUTION: Changes to the hosts file will most likely result in a severe warning (SettingsModifier:Win32/HostsFileHijack) when using Windows Defender.

More information about the hosts file can be found here:

Oooh, I didn't think to edit the hosts file, not a bad idea. Is that the IP it's trying to reach out to, 192.124.249.158?
EliGrim Jul 22, 2021 @ 11:05pm
It is the IP address with which Tower!3D Pro communicates from my PC. Assuming I'm nothing super special, it should be the same for you. :lunar2019smilingpig:

Just to follow up on this, I did try to edit the host file in Win 11, but it didn't work for me. However, by moving to a static IP address, then adding that address (192.124.249.158) as a second address on my NIC with the submask 255.255.255.252 *did* work and the game launches.

Thank you for the follow-up. I hope FeelThere will provide long term support for the next tower version so players don't have to go through something like this again.
