Wind direction

How is wind direction determined by the game? Each time I play I get roughly the same wind direction. Which doesn't make it challenging for me because I always have the same direction so I have pretty much worked out taxi routes and runway setups for every airport.

If you place the wind/weather on random in the onset, you'll get a different direction each time you play.

Random is really not that random. I suggest using calm weather and run whatever operations you want.
In reality, the wind has no impact on the physics of the game. Planes land at the same speeds no matter what. A high wind could force you to use specific runways, but again it has no impact on the planes whatsoever.
