Microphone Issues

I have tried literally everything the devs have suggested here and on their forums. Nothing is working! I use a Yeti microphone. It works very well with speech recognition. Thus, the problem is in the program itself. Anyone else with a Yeti? I'm also running Windows 10 and Realtek (latest drivers). I spent a lot of money to have this not work.

Have you tried with the default in-built microphone? Are you running Tower3D Pro in ADMIN mode?

Admin mode, yes. I don't have a built-in microphone since it's a desktop

Nope! Almost two years have passed and it still doesn't work. The devs don't seem to really care? In their forums they just blame the user all the time instead of admitting the game obviously has an issue for some

The speech recognition is tested and proven to work. If this is not working in your computer it is most probable that there is a local issue with your settings/software.

Do you have your computer set to US English? Is your Mic and speech recognition being able to catch at least some sound? (not necessarily read it perfectly?

Is there any antivirus or firewall running in the background?

Yes, it is set to English and it recognizes my voice. No, it's disabled when I run it. Next!

i feel your pain Ian, had the game working fine for me up until a day ago.. then suddenly the game wouldn't pick up my voice at all.. hope you manage to find a fix

I'm also having problems with the game not picking up my voice anymore. It was fine when I last played it a couple of months ago but when I re-visited the game the other day and it no longer works. Yes, yes yes,..my PC is set to US/English and I don't have any anti-virus program to get in the way.

I've given up with Tower 3D Pro now because it's always been the same, one minute it works, then it doesn't.

I am fed-up of being told that it's always a problem in our settings. I can fly in Xplane online with VATSIM using my microphone with no issues and that is far more complicated to set up so please don't anyone tell me that it's my settings. Tower 3D has always been dodgy with voice recognition at the best of times.

I find that if there is any background noise (fan running, dog barking, etc.) the speech recognition has a hard time. I must say though that otherwise I have had very few problems on the speech recognition side.

Have you tried uninstall and a fresh install? Simple but it has been the solution many times.

Brand new user today. I just wanted to say I have a sennheiser headset and mic, I did the speech recognition in windows, and it works perfectly, no issues whatsoever. Thankyou

This does work people, honestly, it worked first time for me. I'm not trying to diss anybody who is having problems, more just to reassure other users it does work and well.

I also installed the traffic pack and colours packs bought from Justflight today and again everything installed absolutely perfectly fine and it all works great.

Cheers, i'm loving it, although I got cocky and went to KATL and was found wanting. :D

I see you mention that you're a new user of the game. Then don't worry, your time will come when one day you will switch on your Tower game and your Microphone will just not function and you'll be back here before you can say Wilco saying that it used to work before but now it doesn't.

If you play this as a game, you'll be happy. If you pay it as a simulator, then be ready for frustration.
