The old method still works, just not a polished as it was. We use a skin manager to load custom texture files. Before the update, it would apply and keep skins that you previously set.
Right now you have to make sure your on the DVRT normal "livery" and then the old skin manager still works. (this will probably be updated)
1. Install Unity Mod Manager,
2. Install Manager to Derail Valley,
3. Install Skin manager,
4. Install skin pack.
5. make sure loco is on DVRT Skin
6. Set skin with comms remote. (this is not automatic as of this update)
Making skin packs is as easy as just editing a file, naming it correctly, putting it in the mods folder correctly.
Tons of help on the Altfuture Discord as well if you need it.
