Museum not accepting DH4 parts to repair demonstrator
I don't use mods. I have tried a couple of times to have the Museum show that the parts are there. The Museum took my 35k and I got the parts with a locally spawned DE2 and the wagon. The Museum took the crates and said to go to office and pay to get them installed. It took money from my wallet and told me to move the DH4 to get repaired. Nothing happened in repair aisle. I found the board in the DH4 aisle did not show "Bring Parts" or "Install Parts".
I tried a couple of times with the same results. I have sent bug report via email as well. Thank you for your time and attention to my issue.

IIRC The 35k bought the parts, and the next payment got the parts installed in the locomotive, but every other aspect of the locomotive is still broken. You then need to take the loco to the repair aisle and use the levers like you would in any other service to bring everything up from 0%. You might think the brand new engine you put in would cover at least some of the powertrain expense, but sadly it currently does not

Alternatively, do you have any other of the demos? Maybe the game took payment and/or spawned parts for those locos as well, in which case there could be more parts left to pick up from MF

Thank you for the reply!
I reloaded the save with the DE2 and the wagon in the yard. I then removed both the DH4 (not the Demonstrator) and the DE2 to the yard. I then brought the new parts to the Museum.
The parts unloaded and it told me to go and install them. I went to the repair board behind the Demonstrator DH4 and it did not show the parts were delivered .
I then went to the office and paid the 10k to install the parts. (to test) It accepted the money and said to move the Demonstrator to the repair aisle.
I went back to the board and it still showed no parts were delivered or paid to install.
I guess I am confused by the board behind the loco. Do I need to move the DH4 to the repair aisle and that is when the repairs are done?? When I tried that before, it said there was no loco there to be repaired.
I will keep trying to see what happens.
I appreciate your time and comments. Thank you!!!
Once you've paid to install the parts, roll it into the repair bay and see what you can do. Make sure the engine is sitting on the repair pad. ("Ding!")
If your DE2 is still connected to the DH4, then either can be on the pad and you can use the knob on the Repair Kiosk to select which one you're repairing.
Well Mea Culpa!! Talkingpeanut was right!!
It seems the 35k was for parts for BOTH the DE2 and the DH4.. I went to the board for the DE2 and found the parts were installed in that loco. I had assumed it would be for the DH4.. (Never assume kids!!!)
After hanging my head, I went to MF again and loaded a second time. The Museum took the load and both Demonstrators were good to go.
I am now the proud owner of 2 Demonstrators.
Thank you for your replies to my post. It really did make a difference.
I learned a lot.
Oh, and I still love the game. Can't wait to see what more comes out.
Sincerely,
Me
Maybe Olaf has beef with the DH4 you're trying to repair, or maybe just DH4's in general.
