Constantly getting train cars blocking dropoff spot
3 or 4 times today I've had to deliver a train to a siding that did not have enough room for the cars I was dropping off (see attached video for example).

Also, I did a shunting job at Harbor, and it had me drop off 2 cars in front of another job, so they were blocking the job in. When I went to take the job, I found that not only did the shunting job block the west exit, but the shipment also had a different shipment parked behind it, so it was effectively boxed in.

Unfortunately it's not a bug. Only freight hauls between stations are guaranteed to have a dropoff track free of other cars. Shunting and logistical hauls are not guaranteed to have unblocked destination tracks.

Usually the weight of the cars I'm pulling combined with the train cars blocking the siding is too much for the shunter to easily push the blocking cars out of the way, which results in me having to ram > back up > ram > back up, etc... numerous times to make room for my dropoff. Seems like a poor game mechanic that will make players shy away from logistic and shunting jobs.

according to your video, once your job's cars on the assigned siding; your jobs' done. get paid. now, need the shunter; pick a group of cars and move them --well-- anywhere. if you do a load job that involved any of the cars; just remember where you put them.... (do it all the time)

It looks like in your video you have enough room for the delivery. How the game calculates length ensures that it's never too full for your job to be delivered to it's destination. However, do note that it does not take into account your locomotives, so if you're shunting your consist to it's parking spot, it's best to do so with the shunter at the switch-end. The cars only have to fit into the space between the junctions, not the signs.
