Derail Valley dev needs to be careful about updating on a Saturday (which they did this time) because that means GFN will break for at least 2 non-working days and the fix process on Nvidia end will only begin on the Monday. We are now in that 3-5 working day wait, so it should be back in the next day or two.
It's worth keeping this in mind for games that are live services or have lots of active updates (or are early access). Every time they occur, it will break on GFN, requiring manual intervention from Nvidia staff, the quickest I've seen is one and a half working days, the longest is about 5.
Hell Let Loose for example is often in this state of maintanence because it gets regular updates, but Mass Effect Legendary never has this state because it doesn't get updated. Therefore, it's going to be a bit of a rough ride on GeForce Now because Derail Valley is an "updating game" for probably the next 10 years... Just something to keep in mind.
If anything I just wish Nvidia could fix games in one working day, not three or five. But it's never the devs and rarely the game that causes this "offline for maintanence" mode. All Nvidia GeForce Now does is scrape data from Steam that already exists. So it's however Nvidia makes their updates...slowly in the working week and never at weekends. Good service though, the slow updates probably being the only weak point.
