How to Switch with Radio in VR

New to the game and to VR, using Meta Quest 2 through Virtual Desktop.

I was able to use the radio to change switch positions just fine in 2D, and could even rerail with the radio in VR, but nothing I try in VR will move the switches. Any advice appreciated.

Maybe consider redoing the tutorial in VR - start a fresh career with the tutorial enabled, and when you're done switch back to your main career

Alright....I did a fresh career with the tutorial enabled. Got to the part about switching with the radio and the problem was still there: clicking "trigger" as instructed by the tutorial did NOTHING whatsoever.

I clicked out of the game back into Virtual Desktop, then right back into the game again, After doing that, it worked just great.

......until the next time I started the game, and it doesn't work again.

So let's not mark it down as my being too big a dumb*** to figure out how to point and pull the trigger button and in need of replaying the tutorial. The problem ain't me.

What is this Virtual Desktop? It looks like it's a third party program. Can you start DV directly from Steam and see if that works the first time? VRDesktop might be interfering.

Turns out it was the Unity Mod Manager interfering.

It was showing up on my laptop screen, but not on my VR. For some strange reason it had no effect whatsoever on gameplay except to render the switching function on the comms radio ineffective.
