VR, mirroring the graphics on my flat screen

Hello-
I am learning to play the VR version of the game, starting to figure things out ..... watching some videos helps ..... this forum has been helpful

One thing I don't get: My visual VR world is being mirrored on my flat screen - is there a way to shut that off? (Some kind of setting I am missing?) .......

I don't think you can but there's a workaround.

Launch the game in non-VR mode.
Change graphics setting from full screen to windowed.
Exit game.

Now when you start in VR the display mirror will be in a window that can be minimised or hidden (but don't close it!).

Thanks, yeah, it's not that big a deal, I was just concerned about performance or energy usage, but we're probably wasting a lot of energy having this discussion ...... thanks again

TBH most VR games on pc also mirror out to the monitor. All my vr racing titles (lots) do that, and flight titles also.
