But otherwise great!
What i mean is its easy to miss a 30 sign and it can get you in a lot of trouble, as in some places there are 30 signs directly behind 70 / 60 signs, which leads me to seeing the 60, shoveling coal into my steamer to speed up and missing the low sign because of coal shoveling.
Dumb question, and I know nothing about trains irl. Is this realistic in any way?? Why would there ever be a 60 mph zone and then right away drop to 20 or 30. Id more expect it to be like 40 then drop to 20. I know it generally takes a bit of time to slow down big trains, so it doesnt really make sense that they would do that.
It's a game and it's meant and made to be challenging. The speed limits are kph, not mph, but that's not the point. There are also additional signs indicating whether the next speed limit will be more than 20 above or more than 20 below the current limit, at which point you can already start slowing down when you know the next limit will be significantly slower (there are one or two exceptions where they forgot to add these additional signs and you come around a corner and are hit with a 20 speed limit coming out of a 60 or 80 zone, fun times). It doesn't state the distance to the next speed limit sign, but they are generally not that far apart.
Cheers,
Chris.
