Cheat Engine editing not working.

Due to me being a moron, I need to edit my game to give me money. I used Cheat Engine, but no matter how many times I try, it won't change my money. I enter my money value, buy something, enter my new amount, but the second scan shows nothing. Is it because I have a .25 cent value at the end that makes it stop working?

Havent done money editing in ages lol, Normally you should be able to just get money from the shack or if it was some major error like buying the wrong license revert a save, if ironman then "deal with it"... but otherwise the number is not stored normally. Gotta search by unknown initial and move it up/down to wiggle a 4 byte out.

I'd actually be curious to know whats the data type of the way its stored here, with 00000040h being 2$ and the precise bits being on the left. Havent seen that, but also i just dabble~

Just to clarify, are using the value type "Double" and also doing both searches including the decimal value? I just tried on my save and had no issues. You might need to make a save and reload once you've finished with Cheat Engine, for the balance to update.

Ah so it was just double~, must have had a typo or other mistake to not find anything initially with it.

Just interacting with any pay terminal should be enough for update (like pay then cancel to generate new stack of cash).
