On a random 282, if it gets repaired by insurance or when the fee is payed it gets refilled by the service team. Only if you manually repair it you need to fill it up if you use it after the manual repair. When you let it despawn it will be refilled on next spawn.
You can easyly tell when it is full by looking at the sight glass, thats what it is for. How can you "not be able to tell" if you see water in the sight glass or not?
When i filled the S060 it never filled so It just exploded but after repairing the thing it "fixed" the issue and the water level indicated water like it supposed too, so I'll likely have to do it again
re. visibility: the angled stripes behind the glass reverse their angle when refracted by water. It should be easy to check just by looking at these stripes
