Save 1:
S282 HB between Passenger and E walls. behind the shop.
DE6 OWC yard, next to the loading siding.
DE3 GF pond/ditch next to the new line
S060 FF near passenger track bumpers
DH4 CMS next to loading track near the office
DE2 CME upside down in mine hole steps south of the office.


Tips: Turn off vegetation, go into photo mode and fly about the map. As you can see the way they can be found varies quite a lot.

PLEASE DONT POST 1 or 2 LOCOS and ask for the rest. There is another thread for discussing, this thread is supposed to be used as reference. Next weekend i will compile all the locations together. Thank you for your patience. If you cant wait(like me), then go through this thread and check the locations manually :)

My Realistic Difficulty Save:
DE6: Oil Refinery (RESTORED), North east end of the industry beside tracks
S282: Coal Mine North/East (Can't Remember the direction, RESTORED), near the station office
S060: Harbour, beside the passenger tracks, but at the north end of the entrance.
DM3: City West, directly south of and in view of the station office, near the passenger entrance
DH4: Forest Central, right beside the usual loco spawn
DE2: Goods Factory, behind a wall near some wrecks east of the passenger platforms maybe 100 feet away.

Hope I did okay with explaining the locations.

I think its more about just giving people an idea of where to look - we know where each individual loco spawns is randomised but their can only be so many spawn locations

The idea of the game is that the mechanic makes you visit all stations instead of driving Machine Factory- City West - Harbor only.
So there is spawn locations in every station. And, having the museum locomotives is just a money sink as they are not coverd by insurance. So if you want to spoil a mechanic for yourself and instead of getting doezends of play hours from it only get 1 extra play hour for it go right ahead and read the location spoilers.

These are my locations, but again, you will find different locos or none at all
DE6 - Harbor - Around the split between the D & G lines under a metal tent
S282 - Harbor - Next to G1S off the tracks towards the Passenger Platforms
DE2 - Oil Refinery - Right side of the shed where A4S ends
DM3 - Coal Mine East - At the end of the B lines look inside the huge hole where the actual mining is done
S060 - Goods Factory - pond/ditch next to the new line
DH4 - Oil Well North - Next to the Service Shed on the left of it

Found them all.

S060 : GF in the pond near the new track
DM3 : CW next to the C6L track behind a boat
DH4 : SM next to a building near the track
DE6 : CME left of the pit
DE2 : OWN between buildings
S282 : MF next to the yard

Jumped into an older save (pre-B99), got all three new licenses, and took fragile cargo from Harbor to City South as first job. In City South I've found both steam engine locomotives, one directly right next to the museum entrance and the other slightly closer to the station.

there are 30 fixed places, but 6 locos. So its not random, more like, you will find some spots empty. Pretty much all of the locos i found tally with where others found them, except the DE2 Hence why i started this thread to post where everyone found ALL the locos. But people are just putting the same spots again and again

Money sink? I already had >2 mil in my main career mode. Out of that only ~1mil went into restoring all the locos.

If you are in end game already, it really doesnt matter a lot if it is insured or not. I dont even remember when i blew up a train last and i explicitly use the S282 for hauling (cheaper to run, and more fun than the DE6)

- as many already mentioned: next to the museum in City South
- Harbor: Section F, next to the switch connecting 1LP and 2LP, east end
- Steel Mill: between A4S and A5S
- Food Factory: By the bumpers of the two engine parking positions
- Iron Mine East: By the loading point, behind the green shipping container
- (2nd save) Goods Factory: Section C, next to 1SP, on the other side of wall
