Low Memory ?
Why am I getting this popup in the top left of the screen since this new update ?? Never seen it before. Have a 6GB video card with the latest NVidia driver and 16GB of DDR4 Ram.

Steam is the Only program running, nothing else. Have Never had that popup on all the earlier versions of the game.

The video card has low video memory, more than likely the game is adding more assets as it loads up, along with all the mods that is if you are using mods, I get the same thing happening, after a few days, and sometimes even after a day or two and need to reboot the video card simply does not have enough video memory. I have a PNY 4080 XLR8.

I'm not using any mods in the game. Never have.

when your PC is sitting idle what does your RAM usage look like? I wonder if there's nothing actively open but there's still programs running in the background taking up system memory.

I have the same issue, no mods, never had this before the update. 16gb ram, rtx4070.
Funny thing is at first, I thought it's complaining about hdd space, so I went and uninstalled a bunch of other games, lol.

I play this with i3 processor and 8 GB RAM ;) I get the low memory warning frequently and the game freezes sometimes for some seconds, but I am glad I can still play.

12gb card and 64gb ram here and the game will sit at a hair over 10 used. Fortunate enough to not have to check ram usage. As far as ram it seems like 16 is the new 8, 32 is the new 16 etc.

I have 15gb and have nothing else running and i restarted my pc. nothing so what can i do because i don't want my game to crash.
Started getting 'Low memory' today too.

- 32Gb RAM
- 12GB 4070 Super
- 1 x Tb nVME drive space free

Doesn't make sense.
Seems to be since the last major update. Maybe all the gadgets are causing it?
I reverted to b97 and no issues there.
Went back to the recent one and have some issues with memory and low FPS.

Usually im getting 50~60 fps on very high settings.
Now I get like 30~40.

Mods: skin manager. Car charger. Number manager. Easytex.

My Rig:
Nvidia GEforce rtx 3070 8gb ddr6
Intel I7600k
Crucial 4tb ssd [installation location]
Windows 10

I remember something similar when I first got the game. I had the graphics presets on very high. I moved it back to high and those issues went away.

I have been playing for about an hour and my memory usage is currently 6GB which is fine for a game of this type.

Cheers,
Chris.
hi folks,

got the same problem

32 GB ram
3090TI 24GB

B99 introduced an increase in both RAM and VRAM usage, however the next build, B99.4, will include optimizations that should eliminate the problem you're experiencing - at least it did for some of our testers.
You can use task manager to check your RAM usage and see if it's full, but you might need another program to see VRAM usage. If it's the RAM, you can upgrade it for cheap.

Game is very VRAM hungry. It uses 7.5gigs out of 8gigs on my GPU. The visual fidelity is not that great imho so I see a room for improvement in future updates to lower it down - running game 2560x1440p - everything is high/max settings (I think I just set the graphics years ago and leave it).

Hi Altfuture,

I think you are already aware of this bug (?). The low memory warning has nothing to do with either RAM nor VRAM. I had plenty available RAM and VRAM when I got the warnings. This is a page file issue. I manually increased the size of my page file and from the moment I did that I have never seen a low memory warning again.

I made a post about it in the bug reporting forum:
