Logistics Hauling complications
It would have been very helpful to know that the destination for some of these cars was also being occupied by even more cars... far too many to be in the same length of track so now ive got cars blocking other tracks. And dont say just transfer them to a different track because sometimes there are no other vacant tracks or its a dead end and requires far too much moving about or multiple engines to move things around. At the very least give a warning that the destination may have other cars or just clear it entirely of any cars. I'm not being paid to rearrange a station's mess.

Thats why its a logistics job not a freight haul - it's right there in the title

Logistical hauls should always have enough room on the track to fit the job. This may require pushing other cars out of the way but all the cars from the current job and any already stored on the siding should fit into the siding. The siding length is not limited to just between the signs, it extends beyond those but never into the switch.

This is contrasted with freight haul jobs which always go to an empty track if I recall correctly. It's possible to take 2 freight hauls from a station that go to the same destination city and have the same delivery track.

It's possible that you had cars stored on the siding from an earlier job that you moved out of the way and that never despawned. Or that the siding would be absolutely full and there would be very little room on either end to have cars not stick out into the other tracks. Or even that you have your caboose on the back and thus that is an unaccounted car length and now the job won't fit on the track without removing the caboose first

well first the siding was full. More than enough for the FARM siding. Adding my cars completely filled it where one car blocking the path of the next siding. I had to push to the entire row of cars so the game would register my cars and I get paid. The other side is now blocked and if those cars dont despawn ill have to move those again.

second I have never done a job for the FARM so those cars were there to begin with. So thats not my fault those cars were there.

You think I cant read the order? I know its not a freight haul job but someone has to at least mention that the siding you are going to be going to is occupied by other cars. Especially if the siding is already full of them so I had to shove my current job in there forcefully.

All jobs fit into sidings, in fact the dev's even reduced the max amount of cars that went into sidings at around Overhauled was released.
Logistic Haul jobs used to have multiple pick ups some spawned in the middle of 3 or 4 consists and then deliver into occupied tracks, so the jobs have already been made easier.
My tip is TAKE YOUR TIME, when you get to your destination station, go and scope out the final track and the layout before you commit to delivery.

Good luck n above all relax n enjoy the game, with time n familiarity it gets easier,,,,

Logistic hauls give a lot of money for moving empty, light trains. The money is for coping with the logistical problems they have. You want your own track, just do a freight haul and ignore the logistic jobs.

If you don't want to "push" what's there out of the way, just couple your train with what's there, fit it perfecly in a lane (it always fits), then decouple as needed and get paid.

That's the whole point of the game :)

Logistical and shunting jobs used shared tracks (which is necessary by their very own nature, as explained in the game's manaul), whereas freight haul jobs have reserved tracks.

I understand what you meant, but note that logistical and shunting jobs actually do pay drastically more per mass than freight jobs do, to compensate for requiring more work to do.

I have to add more complicated shunting and logistical jobs pays better with more alotted time for bonus..
