Rain simulator
Carrying on my legacy save and honestly it just seems to rain 80% of the time

The weather really needs re balancing - or the option needs to be there as a preference regardless of difficulty

I know it's there in sandbox but I think it needs to be there in all difficulties / modes

The weather / environment data may not be totally correct if it's from a save file made before weather even existed in the game. I'd recommend starting a new save and see if you have the same issue then.

I get rain less than 50% of the time, so what you're seeing definitely isn't always the case.

In a new save I also found it raining most of the time. Not 80%, but raining more than not. It's a key reason I'm not a fan of the update (with default career settings).

You definitely haven't changed any of the session settings, right? I've played through on a new save long enough to get all the licenses, and it definitely is sunny way more often than it is raining, at least on my end. I've also only gotten one thunderstorm in the hours I've been playing.

Edit: which difficulty mode are you in? Maybe it's tied to that?

I guess that's just the nature of RNG. I feel like I've played almost a week (in-game days) with absolutely no rain.

There's a weather forecast under the logistic map in office. You may sleep in office to skip raining hours you don't like.

Except you can't sleep again after you wake up. Not sure what the required delay is. At least in standard difficulty. Plus the forecasts often look like Seattle with everything just being rain, at least for me.

I'm sure RNGesus is at work here, though.

Not 80% for sure [ difficulty mode "realistic"

80% for me. It seems to vary from person to person. It's only not raining for like an hour or two per day. The other 22 hours are rain rain rain. Standard Difficulty.

It sure does rain a lot.

It really fits with the slightly depressing and run down look of everything. It's also a mountainous region and they tend to get more rain. In fact the weather is very similar to somewhere like Scotland in the spring.

It really is a RAIN SIMULATOR. In three weeks of "virtual time",, , I had maybe one day without rain. It's really raining a lot. I don't even have enough sand for the journey from the harbor to the mine. Please reduce the rain. No planning departure according to the forecast helps. Rain should be a random diversion.

Maybe let the player adjust the propability for rain in the options? I'm using lots of sand right now too :P
