Trains randomly spawning
Buy a license then look for a train but engines are randomly spawning and despawning there's no point.

As with the caboose and manual cart.

Should be a central yard where each train starts from. You can go there to get a license and new engine to run and trains can be permanently placed and not spawned and despawned.
If you want to grab a 2nd of an engine you go to the yard and purchase a 2nd engine.

It would also make it feel more like a career as your purchasing the engine instead of renting it.

I'm too not happy to see that the loco that I used before saving and exiting the game is now nowhere to be found after reloading the save.
The is not much "career" here if you just go and take whatever loco your license allows you to. And if everything is reseted when loading..

Loco ownership is planed in the "future list". For now, keep the loco you like with you and don't leave it alone. If you want to find a loco of specific type, you should learn the pattern of loco spawning at different stations. Big station with roundhouse(e.g. HB and MF) would have more types of loco to spawn.

I think the career in current game is an employed driver career, not a railroad tycoon career :)

I just got a license at the harbor and the engines are no where to be found.
It wasn't even full. Had a de2 and a dm4 in the roundhouse and the always de2 in the siding. Nothing else in the entire roundhouse or yard.
Why do de2's take up space in the roundhouse if you can always find 1 in the siding.
It's wasted space for the new engine I just got access to.

As I suggested a yard just for engines. The harbor could hold 1 of each for the moment but I'd prefer a new yard to be built for picking up engines.

I like the idea. Maybe some mods can do the trick.

Except that never happens ? I never once saw a loco that was used despawn

Well everytime I have a used de2 in the tracks just after making a job, then I go to office, complete the job, save and exit and when reloading, the jobs have chanched, and the loco is in somewhere besides the turntable. And really, this happes without paying the copay.

So I can get out of the maintenance by putting on the maintenance line?

When I deliver I leave it hooked up.
Cash out the job and grab the shunting created. Use the remote to start moving it. The new brake doesn't help but I at least start moving.
Makes for a quick cash less effort.
